The christening ceremony of the Kalachakra Mandala of Shambbala was held on 21 June in Shangri-La in the northwest of Yunnan Province.

The ceremony synchronised with the authentication of Guinness World Records for the number of Thangka scroll paintings exhibited at a single time.

The event was aimed to celebrate the 11th Panchen Lama who has consecrated the Kalachakra Mandala of Shambbala based in Shangri-La, and the Guinness World Records official Gulnaz Ukassova awarded the certificate.
