Yunnan Holds Jackstraw Festival to Celebrate Children's Day
The First Jackstraw Festival was held at the Xishan Mountain Forest Park in the city of Kunming, Yunnan province on May 30, to mark Children's Day, which is held on June 1.
More than 60 cartoon characters from foreign cartoon films such as Donald Duck, Kong Fu Panda and Baymax will be displayed in the park's Longmeng area during the festival, which will run until Aug 30. Children will be able to enjoy full-scale models of traditional Chinese cartoon characters such as Happy Sheep and Calabash Brothers.
