China Ultra 100 to be Held in Yunnan Pu'er City

China Ultra 100, a cross-country race, will be held in Pu’er, Yunnan province in May.

In designing the competition route, “China Ultra 100” organizers will emphasize folk culture more than geological terrain.

Route designing is led by Cheng Yuan, head of the Chinese Division of Racing the Planet. Design investigation is mainly being carried out near the Pu’er Sunriver National Park and Panda Garden.

Trail planners have walked for over 1,000 kilometers among forests, valleys and lakes to design a most beautiful competition track for the outdoor event.

The Ancient Road of Tea and Horse was incorporated into the competition route so that contestants can experience the charm of the ancient Pu’er tea culture.

Cheng noted that the design team will cooperate with German routes designers to come up with a plan that allows contestants to enjoy the outstanding scenery and cultural atmosphere of Pu’er.
