Yunnan Pu'er Launches Ethnicity Unity Institute

A Pu’er ethnicity unity carders institute was launched in Pu’er city, Yunnan province on Dec 26. Wei Xing, secretary of the Party’s Pu’er municipal committee, Yang Guozong, vice director of the organization department of the Party’s Yunnan provincial committee, Xu Changjiang, vice director of the Yunnan Ethnicity and Religion Commission, and Yang Ji, head of the organization department of the Party’s Pu’er Municipal Committee unveiled the plaque of the institute.

Wei addressed the launching ceremony. He noted that Pu’er has a tradition of ethnicity unity and that the municipal government attaches high importance to it.

He noted that the municipal government will work hard to support the development of the institute and build it into a training center for ethnicity with great influence.

He hopes the institute will carry out education on the ethnicity policies and regulations of the party and enhance the public’s awareness of ethnicity unity.

Ethnic group carders from various counties and cities around Yunnan attend training classes on the first day of the opening of the institute.
