Pu'er Holds Rural E-commerce Work Conference

The Pu'er Rural E-commerce Conference Work Conference took place in the city of Pu'er in Yunnan province on Nov 18.

Wei Xing, the Party chief of Pu'er and Chen Zongming, the city's deputy secretary were among those in attendance at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Wei commented on the national Internet Plus strategy, saying that it would facilitate economic growth in the region. Wei also stressed that Pu'er needs to promote the integration of Internet with industries such as agriculture and tourism. "Pu'er needs to introduce more high-end ecommerce projects to strengthen local e-commerce enterprises," said Wei.

Prior to the conference, a delegation led by Wei Xing visited the Pu'er Zhenyuan Rural E-commerce Business and Service Center.
