Swiss Rock Climber Conquers 305m High Cliff in Yunnan

The 33-year-old Swiss climber Rachel Scherb has recently succeeded in conquering the sharp cliff in Liming of Lijiang, Yunnan Province.

During her 25-day long attempt, Rachel has tried about 60 different routes for climbing, and she finally conquered the 305 metres high cliff bare-handedly.

The Danxia Landform in Liming, Lijiang
As part of the Laojun Mountain, Liming area 120 km from Lijiang is typically known for the Danxia landform (reddish sandstone) covering over 200 sq kilometres. It is an ideal destination for rock climbing in Yunnan and even China.
