Yunnan Puts Hundreds of Pieces of Chinese Art on Display

The 2015 Yunnan Cultural Industry Fair taking place at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in the city of Kunming, Yunnan province, Aug 7 - 11, has more than 600 pieces of modern Chinese art creations on display in the Hall No 3, including paintings from some famous artists, Yunnan woodcuts and Jindezheng porcelain paintings.

More than half of the exhibits contain paintings, with 243 works worth more than 10 million ($1.61 million) yuan to be auctioned off. Particularly, one of them a 4-meter-long work of Lou Shibai, a famous artist.

Some disciples of influential artist Qi Baishi will also be on hand doing some paintings, Aug 8, at Hall No.3, with tickets priced at 30 yuan.

People can also go to Spring City Evening, the radios of Yunnan and Kunming to participate in activities and to keep an eye out for free tickets.

Visitors can also enjoy the models of landscape of Dianchi Lake, Yunnan's largest freshwater lake, at the exhibition hall.
